Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Gabi developed a strong appreciation for the great outdoors from an early age. Motivated by the growing urgency of climate change, Gabi pursued a degree in Environmental Science from Oregon State university, focusing on conservation, sustainability, and resources.

After graduating and spending several months traveling, she made her way to the North Bay, serving as an Americorps fellow. During this time she worked with an elementary school to lead sustainability initiatives, including implementing zero waste programs, campus greening projects, and introducing environmental literacy into the classroom. Seeing how eager and passionate the students were about making sustainable choices was a powerful and inspiring experience for her.

New to Petaluma, Gabi has found joy in all the North Bay has to offer, including trying new restaurants, hiking in Point Reyes, going to live music shows, or reading a book on her balcony while catching the sunset.
