Susan Haydon is a California native and lover of the land, with a keen sense of place and reverence for vibrant communities. Schooled as a geographer from Humboldt State University with a 30-year career as a planner and program manager of All Things Climate Resiliency & Conservation. At Sonoma County Water Agency, she manages Storm Water Resource Plan program, Flood Control Zone Advisory Committees and steers a number of regional natural resources and conservation plans and strategies focused on building healthy, livable communities in balance with our resources. Member of Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Agency’s Climate Action Advisory Committee. Serves as Planning Commissioner for City of Rohnert Park, actively planning new downtown and updating General Plan for sustainable development objectives. Board member, Sonoma Biochar Initiative. Member, Local Government Commission. Organic Farming Consultant. Former, Assistant District Mgr., Southern Sonoma County Resource Conservation District. She is also a Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy Fellow of 2005.
