Dear Daily Actor,

Over three weeks since the fires, our world is still abuzz with day and night meetings, projects and gatherings. We are heartened and ridiculously proud by how our community is showing up. We are also hearing three strong, consistent messages from you, our community: we need to come together in a way that Ripple the World uniquely provides; we want to make sure Daily Acts is financially strong enough to take on an increased leadership role; and we need opportunities to bring our hearts, hands and shared voice to this historic opportunity to heal the land and make our communities more healthy, just and resilient.

So while we didn’t think it was possible until a couple of days ago, get ready to ripple. Please join us at 8am on November 30th for Ripple the Recovery, to bring together the positive power of our individual and collective ripples to restore, regenerate and rebuild!

We are all different since the fires. While Ripple the Recovery will be the same nourishing, inspiring gathering of change makers as our usual Ripple the World, the program will be different and will be followed up directly afterwards by a set of conversations about community response to the recovery and rebuild. The theme for our breakfast was and still is, A Connected Community FlourishesThis is true now more than ever. We need all hands and all hearts on deck. Please join us for this special gathering, by RSVP’ing to [email protected], whether or not you were able to RSVP for the original breakfast.

For those of you who have recently donated, please accept our most heartfelt gratitude. Having been called to step up our leadership at the exact time we missed our biggest fundraiser and our financial reserves were lowest has put us in a tough situation. Though as you and this incredible community always do, you have been stepping up in so many ways to support our vital work. Thank you.

Your support and engagement allows us to continue our fire response role: convening government, business and non-profit leaders and experts to help coordinate recovery efforts; running programs to help people stay healthy despite increased stress and toxicity; helping launch the Just and Resilient Future Fund; and continuing to build local resilience through our educational programs.

Our hearts go out to the many affected by the fire: we will get through this together. Thank you for everything you do, and for being part of such a vital community of people who care about and for each other and this precious earth we call home.

Stay safe, stay connected, stay in your heart,

xoxo
