Liz Platte-BermeoClimate Resilience Programs Manager
Originally from San Mateo, Liz made her way to Sonoma County to attend Sonoma State University (SSU) where she graduated with a B. A. in Environmental Studies focused on Conservation and Restoration. Liz was introduced to Daily Acts while volunteering as a student, where she realized how much joy she derived from community connections, learning in an outdoor setting, and getting dirty! Liz partnered frequently with Daily Acts throughout her time at SSU and upon graduating in 2016 was brought onto the team as a Programs Coordinator.
Since then, she has completed a Permaculture Design Course, become certified as a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, and graduated from the Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities. After 5 years of leading programs for Daily Acts, she is grateful and proud to now manage the Climate Resilience Programs team.
Liz continues to deepen her community connections in Petaluma, which she now calls home. You’ll typically find her accompanied by her beloved 4-legged companion, Lilypad, both of whom enjoy finding a good bargain at estate sales, camping, and relaxing under the shade of a fruit tree on their homestead just outside of Petaluma city limits.
