As a lifelong Californian, Aidan (he/him) loves absorbing the natural abundance of wonder offered by the state, whether soaking in sunshine on a bluff looking out to the Channel Islands, staring up at a swaying redwood grove in the Santa Cruz Mountains, or taking a dip in the cooling waters of our local Russian River. However, he has also witnessed devastating events the state can also be home to, from raging wildfires and a years’ long drought, to the encroachment of beloved wild spaces by an ever-expanding suburban sprawl. Centered by these experiences, Aidan is dedicated to the pursuit of sustainable living on the individual, community-wide, and global level.
Before starting at Daily Acts, Aidan was a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a B.S. in Biopsychology. While at school, Aidan became a DJ at a non-profit college and community radio station called KCSB-FM where he broadcasted a weekly global music program called The World is Ours Radio. Quickly discovering a passion for both radio broadcast and non-profit work, Aidan became a Training Instructor for the station before being elected by his peers as General Manager and overseeing KCSB’s operations and campaigns.
At Daily Acts, Aidan is looking forward to building relationships with community members, local businesses, and other organizations to make sure Daily Acts has the support it needs to continue doing amazing work for the world.
In his free time, you can find Aidan hiking and biking around Sonoma County, going to concerts, and shopping for records to sample in his own music (it’s like composting but with sounds!).
