Idaho Fescue Festuca idahoensis

This perennial bunch grass is native to western North America and is very versatile. It likes full sun to partial shade and is very drought tolerant once established. We love adding this plant to rain gardens, and it even does well when planted under oak trees and pairs well with other plants like heuchera and hummingbird sage.
Fun fact: Traditionally, the leaves can be steeped to create a medicinal tea to treat upset stomach.
