Mexican Marigold Tagetes lemmonii

This extremely drought tolerant shrub is native to northwestern Mexico and southern Arizona. It thrives in full sun and only needs infrequent, deep waterings after it’s roots are established. It blooms profusely from late fall into spring, attracting many pollinators. It can sometimes reach 8 feet tall and has extremely aromatic leaves. Regular pruning can help keep it from getting too leggy and maintain a nice shape.
