On February 5th, 2022 Daily Acts hosted a workday instructing our community on how to prune fruit trees at our Cavanagh model site! Back in May 2009 Daily Acts partnered with the City of Petaluma, Rebuilding Together, and Petaluma Bounty to spearhead a water-wise transformation of the city’s Cavanagh Recreation Center. We are so happy that we got to be part of that landscape’s legacy by creating a hands-on learning opportunity for our community while making a positive impact of change on our landscape!
Late winter is an especially great time to lay the groundwork for fruit trees by helping prune and clean up their branches while they are dormant. Pruning is a great tool to strategically direct your plant’s growth so you can optimize your plant’s production to increase your fruit harvest once they begin to bloom again!
We are looking forward to the growing season ahead of us and all the bounty which will soon bloom!
