On March 20th and March 21st 2019, Daily Acts partnered with Habitat for Humanity to work with student volunteers from Quest Forward Academy in the planting of a water-wise gardens for four newly built subdivision units.
Habitat for Humanity is committed to bringing people together to build homes, community, and hope. Aligned with their mission, the organization worked diligently to install four units at Harris Village in Santa Rosa, which will house families displaced by the 2017 wildfires. The garden landscape was designed by Firma Design Group, and included native and pollinator attracting plants such as Magnolia and Loquat trees, Pineapple Guava, Cat Mint, New Zealand Flax, Rosemary, and various Sages. The planting was completed in time for the ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, March 23rd.
