After the October Wildfires in 2017, members of Homes for Sonoma, a volunteer-led coalition of community nonprofits, businesses and individuals, came together to create and collaborate around housing opportunities for five fire victims. Daily Acts was eager to support the landscaping side fo this project, in order to draw plants from local nurseries that serve a variety of functions. Large and tall screening plants such as Pacific Wax Myrtles and Pacific Aster were placed in front of the windows and patios, whereas native grasses and drought tolerant pollinators can be found thoroughout the site.  With 80+ volunteers and Homes for Sonoma partners, we completed this project on December 8th, 2018 – just before Christmas and Holiday Season!
