Meadow Sage Salvia nemerosa

Full Sun
Low Water Use

Meadow Sage, or Salvia nemerosa, is a deciduous perennial in the mint family, native to Europe and west-central Asia. This is an easy-to-grow drought tolerant plant that prefers full sun to partial shade and average, moist, well-drained soil. The violet-blue flowers appear on dense spike-like racemes from June to September. Flowers attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies! Once the stem has turned brown, cut it down to the basal leaves and new flowers will appear. They often repeat bloom more than once.
