Mustang Acres is a small non-profit farm in Petaluma, that is maintained by individuals with disabilities, their families and supporters. It’s aim is to serve persons with disabilities by providing opportunities for engagement, socialization and vocational skills training using farm based activities, as well as practicing regenerative agriculture, building community and learning to be good stewards of the land. That’s why Daily Acts was so excited to help with their mission!

In August 2024, through our partnership with the Land Resilience Partnership, and with the help of The Water Folk and a crew from Conservation Corps North Bay, we installed 4 Laundry-to-Landscape Greywater Systems and planted 6 fruit trees to start a mini orchard. Annually, 7,760 gallons of gently used laundry water that would’ve gone to the sewer, will now be irrigating the fruit trees we planted! This project was made possible by funding from the Petaluma River Watershed Land Resilience Partnership.
