On Saturday, June 4th, 2016 Daily Acts partnered with the City of Cotati and Oliver’s Market to work with 20 local volunteers to transform a barren corridor of city land into an edible and medicinal landscape for the community to enjoy. Through the process of sheet mulching and building soil, we were able to successfully complete the installation in Cotati. With drought-tolerant and California natives planted here to attract local pollinators, it gives the neighbors or those passing by an opportunity to ecologically connect with this demonstration site. Pocket Park Annex will also serve as an example for the touring University Elementary School at La Fiesta (K-6) within the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District.
