Beginning in the fall of 2015, Daily Acts fostered and led a productive partnership between the Town of Windsor, Windsor Rotary Club, Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and the Windsor Unified School District with the goal of designing and installing a rainwater harvesting system for the Cali Calmécac Language Academy school garden, located at 9491 Starr Rd, Windsor.

Several large donations helped make this project possible. The designs for the rain tank, concrete pad, and parts were donated by members of EWB. The tank was donated by National Storage Tank, Inc. and Bushman Tanks. The pump came courtesy of Pace Supply in Santa Rosa. Much of the plumbing was donated by Wyatt Irrigation Supply, Inc., and the concrete was poured by Dyché Custom Concrete. The Windsor Rotary Club and a grant from the Windsor Wellness Partnership helped fund the rest of the project. The workshop reached many new people who were unfamiliar with rainwater harvesting, and we hope that the hands-on opportunity to install a tank, rain garden, and drip irrigation will encourage participants to adopt their own water-wise best practices and technologies.
