Prayer Pathway Garden at Petaluma Christian Church

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Daily Acts is excited to support the transformation of a portion of the Petaluma Christian Church landscape into a space that nourishes both spirit and community with a beautiful new climate-resilient garden.

With funding from the Department of Water Resources, Daily Acts’ has successfully converted under-utilized areas of lawn in Petaluma parks and residences into water-wise gardens through the Land Resilience Partnership Program. These gardens, which previously required year-round water, are now native and climate adaptive gardens that enhance beauty, create habitat, and conserve our precious water resources.

Are you a member of Petaluma Christian Church? We’re looking for your input on what types of plants you’d like to see in the Prayer Pathway Garden!

PROPOSED PROJECT AREA

The project area for the Petaluma Christian Church is a 21,000 square foot section that includes a small existing community garden, which will be connected by a new “prayer path” that invites visitors to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Along the path, there will be areas with seating and plantings that offer moments of privacy, rest, and inspiration. This project will create a welcoming, restorative place where people can gather, connect, and grow together — while modeling the power of sustainable design.
