ECO2school is proud to recognize the $1000 Renewable Energy Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scholarship recipients for 2021:
Kate Simpson and Krystal Guerrero.

The Renewable Energy Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scholarship Fund provides $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate achievement and interest in renewable energy as a greenhouse gas reduction strategy.

In early 2019, Don Cambou SRHS Alumni ’64, saw a need at SRHS and decided to address it. The school had no scholarship that dealt with the enormously important issue of climate change. With the guidance of the Education Foundation and the Science Department, he created the $1,000 Renewable Energy/Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scholarship and guaranteed it for two scholarship seasons. With the help of a small group of supporters, the fund is growing.

To date, the Renewable Energy Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scholarship Fund has awarded $4000 in scholarships to students at Santa Rosa High School. In 2022, scholarships will be available at Santa Rosa and Montgomery High Schools (confirmed) and we are hoping to establish scholarships at Piner and Elsie Allen High Schools (pending).

Join us as we expand the Renewable Energy Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scholarship Fund and provide scholarships to graduating seniors throughout Sonoma County.
