Creek Dogwood Cornus sericea ssp. sericea

Creek Dogwood, also known as Cornus sericea ssp. sericea, is a native California shrub that naturally grows along partially shaded creeks, which makes it perfect for planting in rain gardens. This moderately fast growing plant can reach heights up to 15 feet tall and blooms with striking, white flowers in the spring. Its foliage is colorful in the fall before it loses it’s leaves, and its flowers turn into clusters of small, round, white berries that birds love.
