Blue-Eyed Grass, or Sisyrinchium angustifolium

Full Sun
Low Water Use

Blue-Eyed Grass, also known as Sisyrinchium angustifolium is a perennial herb that produces small violet flowers from January through July, after which it dies back to the ground to be dormant over the summer. This plant does well when grown in full to partial sun and likes to have moist soil, so it is perfectly suited for use in rain gardens. It is also cold hardy, tolerating temperatures as low as 20 degrees F.
