Concha Ceanothus Ceanothus ‘concha’

This reliable, fast-growing shrub is valued for its year-round, dark green foliage and dense cobalt-blue spring blooms that attract butterflies and bees. One of our favorite choices for wild-life friendly gardens.
This variety will grow to about 6 feet high and wide, with a dense, upright form. It matures quickly and its most impressive bloom usually happens by the third or fourth year, tapering off over time if planted outside of California’s central coast. Once established, it is highly drought-adapted and should not be watered, as excess moisture can shorten its lifespan. Adaptable to various soil types, this plant thrives in full to partial sun. Minimal maintenance is needed for this plant, making it ideal in many coastal or sloped gardens.
