Kait Schroeder
As far back into her New England childhood as she can remember, Kait Schroeder has cared deeply about the health of our planet and the interconnectedness of all living things. Passionate about science and education, she earned a B.S. in Chemistry with a Minor in Education from Haverford College in Pennsylvania. Kait devoted the next sixteen years to education and youth development, first as a chemistry teacher at the Millbrook School, a unique boarding school with a commitment to stewardship of the natural world, and then in a variety of direct service and executive leadership roles at Summer Search, a national youth development nonprofit that empowers adolescents from low-income backgrounds to discover their purpose through mentoring and transformative experiences. Kait is currently blending her professional nonprofit skills with her lifelong passion for science and the environment as part of the fundraising team at Point Blue Conservation Science, a Petaluma-based nonprofit focused on climate-smart conservation. She lives in Petaluma with her husband and two young kids and, as a longtime fan of Daily Acts’ essential mission, committed people, and impactful results, Kait is eager to contribute as a member of the Board.
