Sara Pandl
Sara was born into a Coast Guard family and so moved all around the United States throughout her childhood and always near a body of water. Formative teenage years in San Diego included being wowed by the first Earth Day event that informed a focus on the environment and all things green. It naturally followed to major in the newly developed Environmental Studies program at UCSB and later earn Certification and then a license as a Landscape Architect. An entry level job with Alameda County Planning Department turned into a 40 year career starting there and ending up in Emmaus, Pennsylvania as a Director of Planning for a fast growing community. Always keeping the environment in mind when working with developers to improve their projects, obtaining grants to preserve open space and incorporating green stormwater practices and natural plantings in park design has made her career rewarding. Now back in California with her husband Dave and two grown sons on either coast, she is eager to contribute to Daily Acts Organization as a Board Member.
