Ava Faithe CastroClimate Resilience Programs Coordinator
Ava was born and raised in Sonoma Valley. From a young age Ava was involved with youth agricultural and leadership programs including 4-H, FFA, and the Sonoma Ecology Center. From these experiences Ava grew her leadership skills and knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and learned of the importance that agriculture plays within climate justice, especially in California. Ava graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a Sustainable Communities concentration from California State University Monterey Bay. During her college career Ava was involved and active in her community. She volunteered with the Bureau of Land Management at the Fort Ord National Monument, assisting in conservation efforts. She also served as Sustainability Senator for her college, implementing many new green initiatives, advocating for sustainable practices throughout the campus, and developing the Environmental Affairs Committee.
Ava moved to Petaluma in 2021. She has enjoyed getting to know her new community and all it has to offer. During Ava’s free time you might find her hiking, out rock climbing, at the skatepark, or supporting local artists at a live music event. Ava is thrilled to be working with Daily Acts and excited to engage more with the Sonoma County community.
