Jordan MillsLand Resilience Partnership Program Coordinator
Jordan comes to Daily Acts with a background in Environmental Studies (UCSC), sustainable food systems, and environmental education. She feels fortunate to have been able to serve these themes over the years through place-based learning and stewardship with local non-profits and school districts in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Some gratifying memories engaging youth outdoors include: tending gardens, supporting student-led projects (like a farmstand and nature playscape), hiking the hills of West Marin, and putting more native plants in the ground.
So grateful to now be a part of the amazing team at Daily Acts, Jordan is eager to continue learning and contributing all she’s gleaned from facilitating and coordinating environmental programming to her role as a Land Resilience Partnership Program Coordinator. As a former Petaluma resident, she is thrilled to be connecting with the local community and working towards more resilient and resplendent ecological environments.
Jordan feels fulfilled by quality time with nature and others. She’s often walking with binoculars, getting to know a new plant, cooking with the seasons, expanding her mental map of local fruit trees to glean, never finishing a book, and dreaming of outdoor adventures – especially an annual desert visit.
