Morgan MarguliesLand Resilience Partnership Program Coordinator
Morgan is a passionate environmental advocate with a deep love for water, soil, and community. Growing up in Nevada City, California, nestled in the Yuba Watershed, Morgan became absorbed by flowing water and biodiverse forests. Morgan expanded his horizons when he completed his Bachelors at Columbia University in Political Science and Sustainable Development. Exploring life in the city, Morgan observed vast inequalities and disparate vulnerabilities to climate change and other environmental catastrophes. This solidified his calling to work within communities to advocate for environmental justice through ecological restoration.
After graduating, Morgan made a return to California, called by family and community. Now settled in Sebastopol, Morgan looks forward to deepening his roots in Sonoma County through exploration by foot and bike and community building with poetry and dance. As a program coordinator for the Land Resilience Partnership, Morgan is excited to grow and learn with the community of Petaluma.
