Information About the Class

We prioritize inclusivity and a learning cohort who represent the diversity of our population and are committed to making our programs available to as many social and environmental change agents as possible. Therefore, our tuition is offered on a sliding scale to accommodate varying organizational budgets or household incomes.

We have a limited number of discounted tuitions for systemically underrepresented folks (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, youth, persons with disabilities, low-wage single parents) and we are happy to work with you individually to remove barriers to participation.

The below charts outline our sliding scale program costs. Daily Acts spends about $7,000 per participant to produce these 10 days of training and support structures.

Participation is often considered professional development and the cost is covered by an employer. If this is the case, cost is based on your organizational budget:

For Profit Organization $2,650
Nonprofit or Agency – budget over $3 million $2,120
Nonprofit or Agency – budget between $1 – $3 million $1,596
Nonprofit or Agency – budget under $1 million $1,060

If your tuition is not sponsored by an organization, cost is based on your household income:

Annual Household Income $80,000 and up $1,596
Annual Household Income $60,000-79,999 $1,060
Annual Household Income $59,999 and below $848

Refund Policy: Your full tuition or first tuition installment is due by August 31st and must be received prior to the first class. Due to the fact that this program is highly subsidized, tuition cannot be refunded if you are unable to complete the program for any reason.

About You: You are passionate about and committed to deep change in your community towards an equitable and climate resilient future. You want to align your life with your values and purpose. You want to be more civically engaged, connected through partnerships and are curious about possibilities for cross-sector, cross-cultural, and diverse collaborations.

Class Selection: Cohorts are carefully selected to represent a diverse range of ages, ethnicities, gender identities, income levels, abilities, geographies, skill sets, sectors, and focus areas. The 21-year Legacy of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy has a long and respected history.

Given the incredible confluence of crises we face, we need more and not less leadership in this big planetary moment. So when the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy approached Daily Acts with news that the Institute would close its doors, we knew we couldn’t just let this incredible organization, that for 17 years trained and grew a network of over 500 change making Fellows, go away.

Several of Daily Acts Board and Staff, including our founder Trathen Heckman are Leadership Fellows and have been greatly enriched by the Institute and its Fellows Network. This is why in the fall of 2017 as the Leadership Institute officially closed its doors, its programs, resources and stewardship of the Fellows Network became a part of Daily Acts.

With 21 years of experience empowering and educating over 63,000 engaged people and sustainability leaders through collaborative programs, Daily Acts is honored to integrate the Leadership Institute and Fellows Network into our programming.
